Worst experience

Last evening I went to the black Dog Restaurant with a group of 6.We were the only people in the restaurant. It was cold and we requested some heating but this was not apparent
3 members of the group ordered battered blue cod. This has to be the worst blue cod I have ever been served. The fish was almost non exisistent when the hard batter was removed
It tasted of curry and I was disgusted by the sparse amount of fish.
My husband ordered lasagna. It was served in a small dish
It was not layered mince with pasta and cheese but a bowl of very fatty tasting mince with cheese and a piece of pasta floating on top
Because he refused to eat it I sampled it and it tasted awful. The taste of very fatty mince.
Throughout our visit we had difficulty to get the attention of the staff to reorder refreshments. There was no inquiry of how we found the meal either during the meal or when we paid.
The meals were $29.90 for the blue cod and 21.90 for the lasagna.
It was obvious to the waitress who eventually cleared our table that the meals went into the rubbish

No one inquired about dessert.
The distinct impression was that we were an inconvenience and staff were wanting us to eat quickly and leave.
I am happy to pay a good amount for quality food and service. But this food and service was of poor standard.
I am embarrassed that people visiting Dunedin will have this poor experience
